The three daily newspapers that are part of the Guild unit have each been in circulation for decades or longer and their respective staffs want to continue in that tradition for years to come. But we can't do it on our own.

I stand by The Hudson Valley News Guild in asking for voluntary recognition so that, collaboratively, the staff and management can work together to strengthen these publications.

Local news is vital to the communities in the Hudson Valley and it is an essential way for residents to stay informed. We need to ensure that continues to happen for many years to come.
